Molded small-scale production - Small lot production using vacuum casting.

Small lot production using vacuum casting. Reduces lead time and costs without molds, accommodating the needs for small quantities and diverse varieties.

The use of vacuum casting is no longer limited to "prototyping." Traditionally, vacuum casting has been primarily used during the prototyping phase, but it is now being utilized for small-scale production and market introduction as a method that matches the era of diverse small lots. In the case of injection molding, the lead time for mold production takes about 3 to 4 months, which cannot be avoided in terms of its impact on the overall development lead time. Additionally, for sites that utilize molds, responding to diversification is challenging, as molds must be prepared for each variety. Furthermore, there are many challenges such as securing storage space for molds and the complexities of maintenance. However, with vacuum casting, it is possible to produce small quantities without creating molds, which helps reduce mold investment costs and allows for market introduction in a short period.

Small lot production by vacuum casting.

The same quality as mass-produced products, only when needed, in the necessary quantity, and at the necessary cost.

Vacuum casting offers cost advantages for resin molded products with fewer than 100 sets per year. By using silicone rubber molds instead of metal molds, total costs can be kept low. There is an increasing track record of using UL94 V-0 certified casting materials for resin housings in medical devices, not just for prototypes but as mass-produced parts. This is a flame-retardant grade polyurethane resin for vacuum casting. It is a material that has practical strength and dimensional stability even for small lot production parts. If you need parts supplied in units of 10 or 20, manufacturing can be faster and cheaper than machined parts. In our vacuum casting process, we can start production as soon as 3 days after the master model is completed. We can produce 20 vacuum cast parts in 3 weeks, and with 15 vacuum casting machines, we can replicate multiple parts simultaneously. You can certainly request us to create the master model, but we can also create silicone rubber molds from your supplied master model. Would you like to try the speedy procurement of vacuum casting for application functionality checks or mold considerations?
